Something fun:

At 15 Mike tore his first computer apart (to his mother's dismay) and after finding a book about the different parts, put it back together and got it working again. At 16 his family got their first internet connection and Mike was hooked. He started designing and building websites, reading about hacking, and collecting any 'junk' computers he could get his hands on.
