Why do I want to work for Hoodoo?

Our growth over the last year has been significant. What started out as a small group has doubled in size a couple of times now. Just a few months ago we had FIVE new people starting at the same time. And we just announced another group of people joining our team. You must be asking yourself, how can I join this team? And, what does Hoodoo look for in the people they are hiring?


I have never been a fan of the numbered list articles, “The top 10 things we look for in an employee.” Those lists are just silly. Especially because most everyone is looking for the same basic things, such as: smart, good attitude, self-motivated, hardworking, specialization in a specific product, etc. Those are just fluff. Sure we want those types of people, but we are also looking for something a little more nebulous.

If I had to make a list, then here is the type of people we are looking for:


  • Those with an open mind, not afraid of the unknown
  • Value-driven individuals who aren’t just chasing the next big paycheck
  • Engineers willing to be truthful to customers, even when it isn’t convenient
  • Developers who are always learning, and who don’t say “that can’t be done”
  • Those capable of working wherever they are at, the Digital Nomad

Who is Hoodoo?

We are a value-driven group centered around more than just gaining monetary profits. A team of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experts, driven to learn more and gain additional certifications and specializations. Certifications that prove to the people we work for that we know what we are doing with AEM and the entire Adobe Experience Cloud Platform so that we can help execute their plans to help improve the relationship that they have with their customers. If you were to ask our people the reason that they work here, most of them wouldn’t mention pay. Our compensation packages are significant and competitive, but that’s not what people are chasing when they come to work for us.
